Pololu

Hawaii is a land of wonder, far beyond what you find on the postcard rack. On an exploratory trip on the North Shore of the Big Island we stumbled upon the Pololu Coast (actually we simply ran out road). Where most of the cars stopped at the gate, we pushed onwards down the steep embankment towards to black sand beach below. M.J. ran ahead eagerly to embrace the foreign sand while Erin, John, and I took our time with the trail, snapping a few photos along the way.
When we reached the bottom of the trail we found M.J. rolling in the black sand like a super model, extolling it's skin healing properties as the surf washed the black sand all over his body, he eagerly inviting us to join him in his playful romp. I shot this photo of Erin instead. Later, he shotgunned first shower claiming he had discovered his inner black man after peeking down his pants.

were these rocks already set up like that?
