Na Pali Coast

The Na Pali Coast. Kauai

Raw, intimidating - yet sexy (especially when viewed from the air). The Na Pali Coast takes up the entire North Side of Kauai, and as the oldest of the Hawaiian islands, has traded it's charred black shore (like the big island) for radically eroded, soft green cliffs. No roads, no people, just 11 miles of a narrow old trade trail from the end of civilization to Kalalau Beach, pictured here. Greg and Leo made the entire hike in, which is another story unto itself, and will be saved for another day. For now just realize you're looking at Jurassic Park, King Kong, and if you look reeeeaaaal close, you might be able to see the survivors of LOST down there.
